Chris Blalack has worked with credit unions and
financial service providers at Blalack & Williams since 1994,
and has been a practicing attorney with the firm since 2003. His
educational background is in business administration and business
management and he has received post-graduate training in Professional
Practices Management Systems prescribed by ACA International. He is a
member of the Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association, Texas
Young Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Texas and the Federal Bar
of the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Chris' primary focus is in the area of
collections, collections litigation and bankruptcy. He was instrumental
in the creation and development of the Charge Off Collections Division
of Blalack & Williams, established in 1998. Since 2004, Chris
has actively lead the expansion of the Blalack & Williams
Charge Off Collections Division, and has helped create and organize
firm guidelines, procedures, techniques and methodology in the Charge
Off Collections Division and Collection Litigation Division. Chris
directly oversees the day-to-day operations of the Collections Group,
providing a direct and immediate contact for participating credit
unions and other lenders. Chris oversees the prompt reporting and
comprehensive monthly accounting for the firm's clients and ensures the
Division's compliance with FDCPA and TDCA regulations. Chris is
committed to the firm's rapid expansion in the collections area, and he
is focused on maintaining the firm's preeminent position in the areas
of pre-litigation, collection litigation, and post-judgment collection
services.
