Mike Blalack is a founding shareholder and
principal of Blalack & Williams. Since 1975, Mike has focused
exclusively on the representation of state and federal credit unions
with a particular concentration in the areas of lending and deposit
account system development, consumer credit and collections issues and
collections litigation. Mr. Blalack was instrumental in the development
of many of the earliest open-end credit products in the industry, and
he is an acknowledged authority on the truth-in-lending and
truth-in-savings issues, secured transactions and bank deposits and
collections. He has conducted hundreds of seminars and is a frequent
lecturer across the country for state credit union leagues, trade
associations, credit union chapters and individual financial
institutions. He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the
Consumer Law section of the State Bar of Texas. He provides
frequent counsel to financial institutions on matters affecting
directors' and officers' duties and responsibilities.
