The firm offers the convenience of a nationwide toll free number, postage paid envelopes, and coupon booklets to assist debtors in repaying their accounts.  The staff is experienced and professional, and is thoroughly trained in all applicable regulatory areas.  There are no out-of-pocket expenses, no attorney's fees involved, and the firm works solely on a contingency-fee basis.  The firm takes referrals by way of mail, fax, delivery, or electronic data interchange.  The group works recent and older charge-offs, accepts second placements, and provides Blalack & Williams' clients with remittances and monthly remittance reports reflecting each account on which a payment was made during the ensuing month.

Collections Litigation

From its inception, Blalack & Williams has been a leader in collections litigation in Texas.  It offers several contingent fee and hourly fee arrangements in addition to customized fee arrangements for higher volume clients.  The Collections Litigation Group, under the supervision of the firm's attorneys, is comprised of the prejudgment litigation section and the post-judgment collections team.

The prejudgment litigation team prides itself on the rapid intake and processing of lawsuits utilizing the firm's Collection Lawsuit Referral Forms.  The group, some of whom have over 20 years with the firm, coordinates the litigation process with the attorneys and, at the same time, initiates and maintains contact with debtors following service of process generating numerous agreed judgments,  settlements and payment plans.

The prejudgment litigation group and the firm's attorneys also specialize in a rapid response sequestration program in cases where the client believes that its collateral is in jeopardy and that judicial seizure of the collateral is called for.
